The human being is a stupid monster. It has a relatively large cortex, a big appendix to the necessary mammal brain, an appendix that doesn't seem to have any direct use and is therefore, so think the expert, responsible for the high human intelligence.

If you look at human history and what is going on today, you should make up your own mind about "high human intelligence." We are herd animals and as all herd animals, we communicate. Our communication systems are somewhat higher, but not extraordinarily higher than others.

It took us many thousand of years and some special environmental conditions, to make us "invent" things like the wheel, or script.

Script changed everything. Script turned us into something that can say "I'm no longer an animal!", and write it down so that their children's children can read it.

We can train our kids (and it takes ten years) to become civilized humans.

Now that makes us superior, but is this "intelligence" ?

Us superior are still torture our inferiors to death on a regular basis, while we bemoan our own terrible fate, which shows that our emphatic understanding abilities are marginal at best.

Let's face it : our brain's capacity is barely sufficient to take care of ourselves.

We have no concept of more than the very near future, and we're walking head-on into a planetary catastrophe that our best thinkers cannot find a solution to.

This website and my second blog "The Daily Demon" are trying to make sense and explain what IS GOING ON AND WHY and begin to find out IF anything can be done.

This blog is also a playful message to a theoretical alien species, where I am self-reflectively trying to find out how such aliens might be similar of different to ourselves.
